1 long french roll
2 tbsp melted butter
1 chopped onion
1 1/2 cups cooked corn
1 large tomato, chopped
1 chopped green chilli
1 tsp curry powder
1 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
a little milk
2 tbsp oil
salt to taste

For decoration
a few cheese slices
a few tomato slices

To be ground into a paste
1 onion
4 green chillies
25 mm. (1") piece of ginger (adrak)

  1. Divide the roll horizontally. Scoop out the centre and keep aside the scooped bread.
  2. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle a little milk on both sides.
  3. Bake in hot oven at 450°F for 5 minutes.
  4. Heat the oil in a vessel, add the onion and cook for 3 minutes.
  5. Add the paste and fry again for 1 minute.
  6. Add the chopped tomato and curry powder and fry again for a few minutes.
  7. Add the cooked corn, green chilli, coriander, 1/4 of the scooped part of the bread and salt.
  8. Spread the filling on each half roll, cover with tomato and cheese and bake in a hot oven at 450°F for 10 minutes.
  9. Serve hot.
