Ingredients

Method
  1. Heat 2 cups of water with some salt and 1 teaspoon oil in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for 2 minutes. Add the vermicelli and keep aside for 5 minutes or till the vermicelli is cooked.
  2. Drain out any excess water and keep aside.
  3. In another microwave safe bowl, combine the oil, mustard seeds, urad dal and asafoetida and microwave for 2 minutes.
  4. Add the curry leaves and ginger and chillies and microwave for ½ a minute.
  5. Add the onions and microwave on high for another 2 minutes.
  6. Add the vermicelli, coriander and salt and mix well.
  7. Microwave on high for 1 minute and serve with lemon wedges.

Tips
  1. Handy tips :
  2. The time to cook the vermicelli will depend upon the thickness of the vermicelli used.
  3. If you are using the very thick one. you may need to cook it in the microwave for approx. 1 minute after adding it in hot water.
