Ingredients


1 cup semolina (rava)
4 tbsp curds (dahi)
1 tbsp oil
salt to taste

For topping
3 tomatoes, sliced
3 onions, sliced
chilli powder
oil for cooking

For serving
Coconut Chutney

Method
  1. Mix the semolina, curds, salt and enough warm water to make a batter of a dropping consistency. Keep overnight.
  2. Next day, add the oil and mix well.
  3. Grease a tawa (griddle) with a little oil and heat. Spread a little batter on the hot tawa, top with tomato and onion slices and sprinkle chilli powder and salt on top.
  4. Pour a little oil on the sides and cook until brown on the underside. Turn and cook on the other side. Repeat with the remaining batter.
  5. Serve hot with coconut chutney.
