- There is no contesting the lure of onion's flavour and strong smell. Roasting enhances these. Simply pierce an unpeeled onion with a fork and then roast it on an open flame for 5 to 10 minutes, turning it at regular intervals.
- Ensure that the flame is low and continue roasting till the outer layer is charred and black. Then, cool and discard the outermost layer and use as required.
