The popular kashmiri dum aloo is a traditional north indian recipe wherein the aloo or potatoes are cooked with spices and onion-tomato paste under pressure or dum. Devour the classic kashmiri dum aloo ,cooked in a rich spicy gravy with naan or paratha.

Ingredients

Method
  1. Pressure cook potatoes with a little salt. Peel and keep aside.
  2. Heat the butter in a pan and add the cumin seeds, asafoetida and ginger and saute for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the potatoes and saute till they turn golden brown.
  4. Add chilli powder and water and cook for 10 minutes.
  5. Remove from the flame, add the amchur,garam masala and coriander leaves.
  6. Serve hot.
