Quick Apple Cinnamon Rabdi

Milk is thickened with fresh bread crumbs to give you an instant rabdi. This is not the original recipe but one that's used to make a really creamy rabdi in a jiffy.

Ingredients


1 cup apple slices
2 tsp sugar
1 " (25 mm) stick of cinnamon (dalchini)
1/2 cup soft bread crumbs, refer handy tip
3 cups milk
1/4 cup condensed milk

Method
  1. Combine the apples with the sugar, cinnamon powder and ½ cup of water and heat on a slow flame till the apples soften. Keep aside.
  2. Bring the milk to a boil in a heavy-bottomed pan. Add the bread crumbs and condensed milk and cook over a medium flame, while stirring continuously (approx. 10 minutes).
  3. Remove from the flame, add the apple mixture and mix well.
  4. Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours and serve chilled.
