Everyone knows of french fries, potato wedges, mashed potatoes and aloo chaat. Why not try this innovative idea of making green coins with potatoes!

Makes 20 coins

1 small potato , par-boiled and finely grated
2 tbsp grated paneer (cottage cheese)
1/4 cup green peas , boiled and coarsely ground
2 tbsp grated processed cheese
1 tbsp butter
2 tbsp roasted peanuts , finely ground
salt to taste
a pinch freshly ground black pepper powder
oil for cooking

  1. Mix all ingredients except the oil.
  2. Take a spoonful of the mixture and fatten it on your plam to make coinsized rostis.
  3. Cook on a non-stick pan using a little oil on both sides till done.
  4. Serve warm.
