Plum And Banana Sorbet

A very refreshing sorbet.

Preparation Time : 
Freezing Time: 7 to 10 hours.
Serves 4.


Ingredients


10 plums
2 bananas
sugar as required

For the garnish
plums slices
banana slices

Method
  1. Peel and deseed the plumps. Put the pulp into a freezer-proof container.
  2. Peel the bananas and chop them finely.
  3. Add the chopped bananas and sugar as required to the plum pulp and whisk till all the sugar dissolves.
  4. Freeze till slushy.
  5. Remove from the freezer, put in a blender and beat till all the ice crystals are broken down.
  6. Freeze again and repeat steps 4 and 5.
  7. About 15 minutes before serving, transfer the sorbet from the freezer to the refrigerator to soften a little.
  8. Scoop out using an ice-cream scoop and serve immediately, garnished with plum and banana slices.

Tips
  1. Taste the mixture at regular intervals to adjust the amount of sugar.
  2. If you want to sweeten the mixture after it has frozen, add powdered or icing sugar as it melts quicker.
