Learn an easy way to prepare tasty traditional Punjabi pinni at pinni is prepared by tossing wheat flour with ghee and sugar. This Punjabi sweet delicacy is best served hot with crushed cardamom and shaped like balls.

  1. Soak urad dhal for 5-6 hours and grind with water.
  2. Heat ghee in a shallow pan.
  3. Add urad dhal to it and keep on low flame.
  4. Stir continuously till it becomes light brown.
  5. Add khoya to it and mix thoroughly.
  6. Add powdered almonds.
  7. Add sugar syrup and cardomom powder.
  8. Stir continuously.
  9. Allow it to cool.
  10. Make balls out of it with a depression on the top.
  11. Garnish with badam on top of each pinni.
