Be it on a pizza or on a sandwich, pineapple and cottage cheese always make a great combination. This is because the succulent and mellow flavour of cottage cheese contrasts starkly with the crispness and tang of pineapples!
Here, we have made a delicious cold sandwich using this evergreen duo, with a sprinkling of fresh celery to add more zest to it.
Keep the pineapples chilled till the moment you assemble the Pineapple, Celery and Cottage Cheese Sandwich, and serve it immediately on preparation to enjoy the cool crispness!
The sweet and mellowed taste of the sandwich will pair off well with tangy and semi spicy Lentil, Tomato and Spinach Soup .
- Combine the pineapple, celery, paneer and salt in a deep bowl and mix well.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and keep aside.
- Place 2 bread slices on a clean, dry surface and butter them lightly.
- Spread a portion of the mixture evenly over one of the bread slice and sandwich it using another bread slice with the buttered side facing downwards.
- Cut the sandwich diagonally into 2 equal pieces.
- Repeat steps 3 to 5 to make 3 more sandwiches.
- Serve immediately.
