Papaya and mango are a wonderful team, which makes a great smoothie! Together they give the smoothie a beautiful reddish-orange hue and well-balanced flavour.


The best part is that both these alkaline ingredients are supposed to be good for acidity. That makes this Papaya Mango Smoothie a must-try during the mango season.

Ingredients

Juicer Method
1 cup papaya purée
1 cup fresh mango pulp
1 tbsp sugar (optional)
1 tbsp lemon juice (optional)
crushed ice for serving
Method
Juicer method

  1. Combine all the ingredients and blend in a mixer till smooth.
  2. Pour into 2 individual glasses and serve immediately topped with crushed ice.

Hopper method

  1. This recipe cannot be made in a hopper as mango pulp cannot be added to the hopper. Also, since papaya is soft, juicing it in a hopper is difficult.

Was truly refreshing... Though the lemon juice and sugar are optional, I added 1 tsp of lemon juice but the sugar isn''t really needed. Those calories can easily be avoided.
