A medley of colourful veggies with a zesty apple-lemon juice-oregano dressing.

1/4 cup shredded cabbage
1/4 cup shredded red cabbage
1/4 cup chopped tomatoes
1/2 cup thinly sliced carrots
1/2 cup thinly sliced cucumber
1/4 cup thinly sliced red capsicum
1/4 cup thinly sliced yellow capsicum
1/4 cup thinly sliced green capsicum

To Be Mixed Into A Dressing
1 medium sized apple , grated with the skin
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1 tbsp finely chopped raisins (kismis)
1/8 tsp salt

  1. Combine all the salad ingredients in a bowl, add the dressing to it and toss well.
  2. Serve immediately.

Before reviewing this recipe i would thank Mrs. Tarla Dalal for all the wonderful recipes she gives us. I am reading her books for the last 37yrs.some being bought andd some borrowed from the library. This recipe was already tried by me and turned out very well. even the people in my household who din't take salads regularly liked it.Learned to surf net recently so any mistakes sorry for thar
