5 brown bread slices
5 tsp butter

For the mushroom filling
1 tbsp chopped onion
1 tsp plain flour (maida)
1 green chilli, finely chopped
4 tbsp finely chopped mushrooms (khumbh)
1/4 tsp dried oregano
2 tsp butter
salt to taste

For decoration
1 tbsp finely chopped parsley or cress
1 tbsp finely chopped tomatoes


    For the mushroom Filling

    1. Heat the butter and fry the onion for 1/2 minute. Add the flour and green chilli and fry for a few seconds.
    2. Add the mushrooms, oregano and salt. Cook for a few minutes until the mushrooms are soft.

    How to proceed

    1. Cut each bread slice into two rounds using a cutter. Apply the butter lightly on one side of each round.
    2. Pile 1 teaspoon of the mushroom mixture on each round.
    3. Surround with the parsley and tomatoes and serve.
