Muesli was invented by the eminent Swiss physician Dr. Bircher-Benner. It formed an integral part of his healing system based on a predominantly raw-food diet.

Ingredients


2 tablespoons oats
1/2 banana, finely chopped
1 apple, finely chopped
1 tbsp chopped mixed nuts
1 tsp mixed seeds (sesame seeds (til), sunflower seeds (surajmukhi ke beej), pumpkin seeds)
6 tablespoons yoghurt
2 tsp honey
2 tsp raisins (kismis)
2 tablespoons orange juice (optional)

To garnish
2 tbsp strawberry, sliced (optional)

Method
  1. Soak the oats in 2 tablespoons of water or orange juice overnight.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
  3. Garnish with strawberries and serve chilled.
