An enhanced version of chila, cabbage mini pancake is delicious and wholesome. What is more, it can also be prepared in a jiffy, making it a great start to a busy day. Serve hot and fresh with chutney or ketchup.

Ingredients

1/2 cup besan (bengal gram flour)
1 cup grated cabbage
1/4 cup finely chopped onions
1 tsp finely chopped green chillies
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera) powder
1/2 tsp ginger (adrak) paste
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)
salt to taste

Other Ingredients
oil for greasing and cooking

Method
  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well to make a thick batter using little water.
  2. Grease a non-stick mini uttapa pan with a little oil.
  3. Pour 2 tbsp of the batter in each uttapa mould and spread it lightly.
  4. Cook on a slow flame, using a little oil till they turn golden brown in colour from both the sides.
  5. Repeat steps 2 to 4 to make more mini pancakes.
  6. Serve hot.

this recipe is very easy to make and great for breakfast...it is filling and tasty...serve it with chutney or tomato ketchup....
