The mouthwatering milk halwa is a simple and quick sweet dish prepared from condensed milk, and crushed dried fruits cooked with sugar and spices like cardamom. A delicious dessert dish which can be served as a snack or after meal sweet!

1 ltr buffalo's milk
3 tbsp sugar
2 pinches citric acid
1 1/2 tbsp ghee
1 tbsp fine semolina (rava)
1 tbsp broken cashewnuts (kaju)


  1. Boil milk in a broad heavy kadai till it is reduced to three fourth of its consistency.
  2. Add sugar and cook for another few minutes.
  3. Add citric acid to break the milk and keep stirring for few minutes.
  4. Fry cashewnuts and rawa in ghee and add to the halwa.
  5. Cook till moisture is evaporated. add little more ghee if necessary.
  6. When halwa consistency is reached remove from fire.
