This dish was developed using a chicken recipe from nita mehta. normally manchurian is prepared by deep frying. this dish gives a tangy chinese/ manchurian taste with less oil

Gobi - 400 gms
1 onion- sliced
1/2" ginger ( finely chopped)
3 flakes Garlic ( finely chopped)
2 tbsp - soya sauce2 tbsp oil
1 tbsp vineyar
1/2 tsp ajinomoto
4-5 green chillies( slit vertically)
1 medium capsicum ( slip into thin vertical)
1 tsp sugar , 1 tsp salt
1 1/2 tbsp corn flour( mixed with water)
1 pinch of red food color
- Cut the gobi into medium sized florets and put it in hot water with salt. let it remain soaked for 2 mins. drain the water.
- In a microproof dish add oil,onion, ginger, garlic,ajinomoto, soya sauce and gobi . mix well and microwave covered for 7 mins or until gobi is finely cooked.
- Add chillies, capcicum, sugar, salt,vinegar, food color( mixed with little water) and corn flour ( mixed with little water). mix all well and microwave uncovered for 5 mins, remove, stir and microwave for further 3 mins. the content reduces as you microwave.
