Mayonnaise (Old Fashioned) PVC

Preparation Time:  a few minutes.
Cooking Time:  Nil.
Makes about 1 teacup.

150 ml salad oil
1 egg-yolk
1/2 tsp mustard (rai / sarson) powder
1/2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tbsp lemon juice or 3 teaspoon vinegar

1. Put the yellow of the egg in a small bowl. Add the salt, sugar and mustard powder. Mix thoroughly with a wooden spoon.
2. Add the salad oil, half a teaspoon at a time, beating all the time with a wooden spoon.
3. When all the oil is absorbed, add the lemon juice or vinagar.
4. Store in a refrigerator.
