Pressure-cooked masoor dal is cooked with mixed vegetables and spices-cinnamon, amchur, jeera and more. A tadka of fresh ghee and chili powder adds to the taste and makes your meal that much more tasty! Super!
- Pressure cook the dal with 1½ cups of water.
- Heat the ghee in a saucepan, add the onions and cumin seeds and sauté for at least 2 minutes.
- Add the cooked dal, boiled vegetables, amchur powder, tomato, turmeric powder, paste and salt. Boil for a few minutes.
- Just before serving, heat the ghee in a small pan, add the chilli powder and pour over the dal mixture. Serve hot.
