Ingredients

Method
  1. Crush the cinnamon, cloves and cardamoms lightly.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of ghee and fry the chopped onion for a few minutes. Add the crushed spices and bay leaves and fry for a few seconds.
  3. Add the rice, masoor dal, potatoes, small onions, french beans, green peas, green chillies, turmeric powder, garlic and ginger. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Add 5 teacups of hot water and salt. Cover and cook for 20 to 25 minutes or until the vegetables are soft.
  5. Remove from the heat; pour the remaining ghee on top.
  6. Serve hot.
