Ingredients

1 cup milk powder
1 cup part skimmed ricotta chesse
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 cups whipping cream
1/2 cup melted butter
2 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
a few saffron (kesar) strands strands , crushed
yellow food colour if desired

Method
  1. Heat the butter in a nonstick kadhai and add the ricotta chesse, milk powder, sugar, whipped cream and boil the mixture till it becomes thick and starts leaving the sides of the kadhai.
  2. Add the cardamom powder and kesar and a little yellow colour and mix well.
  3. Remove from the flame and keep aside to cool.
  4. Divide the mixture into small equal portions and shape them into 60 small round flat pedas.
  5. Store refrigerated.
