This is an easier way of incorporating a variety of flours and vegetables to your baby's diet between age of 10 to 12 months. The iron and vitamin a content of this recipe is appreciable due to the addition of fenugreek and carrots. Cooking the rotis with oil or ghee adds on energy content. Serve these rotis with plain curds or raita.
- Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl, mix well and knead into a soft dough using enough water.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and roll out each portion into a 75 mm. (3") diameter circle using a little jowar flour for rolling.
- Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and cook each roti, using a little oil till golden brown spots appear on both the sides.
- Serve lukewarm with curds.
