When temptation strikes, nothing can stop you from having this Jhatpat Samosa! Made with readymade samosa pattis, this recipe requires minimal preparation.

The stuffing too is made with grated paneer and crunchy veggies like capsicum and onions, which can be readily mixed and do not require to be boiled and peeled like potatoes. In short, all care has been taken to ensure that this recipe can be prepared and enjoyed any time you want, with least effort and time.

Jhatpat Samosa are excellent as starters and even teams up well with dips and sauces like Cheesy Pepper Dip , Barbeque Sauce and Achaari Dip .

11 samosa pattis
oil for deep-frying

To Be Mixed Into A Filling
1/2 cup grated paneer (cottage cheese)
1/4 cup chopped onions
1/4 cup finely chopped capsicum
1/4 tsp garam masala
1/2 tbsp lemon juice
salt to taste

For Serving
tomato ketchup
  1. Place a samosa patti on a clean, dry surface.
  2. Put 1 tbsp of the filling in one corner of the samosa patti and roll into a triangle.
  3. Seal the edges using a little water.
  4. Repeat steps 1 to 3 to make 10 more samosas.
  5. Heat the oil in a non-stick kadhai and deep- fry a few samosas at a time, till they turn golden brown in colour from all the sides.
  6. Drain on absorbent paper.
  7. Serve immediately with tomato ketchup.

Quick, simple and easy to make samosa, the filling inside this samosa is so soft, and delicate in taste, the crunchy onions is just an excellent combination.

The paneer filling in the Samosa is fabulous and my two daughters fought over the last piece of Samosa. Great hit in the family.
