This recipe is a delicious way to introduce a combination of cereals like jowar and bajra flour which are richer in iron and fibre than wheat flour. Also the greater the variety of foods babies are introduced to during the first year, the more likely they are to accept newer tastes as adults.

Ingredients

Method
  1. Combine all the ingredients and knead into a soft dough using water.
  2. Divide the dough into 4 equal parts and roll out each part into in a 100 mm. (4") diameter circle.
  3. Cook each roti on a non-stick tava (griddle) over a medium flame using a little ghee till both sides are golden brown in colour. Serve lukewarm with fresh curds or raita.
