When you look at the spread at a bakery, it is always the jam tart that grabs our attention first—because of its attractive colour combination, fruity smell and flaky texture. Although the criss-cross pattern takes a little time to ready, it makes the tarts look really professional and tempting, so do spend some time on it.

Ingredients

1 cup plain flour (maida)
1/2 cup butter
2 tbsp powdered sugar
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 to 2 tbsp cold water
6 tbsp jam

Tips
  1. If you don't have tart moulds, shape the dough into rounds and you have yummy butter cookies.

I made these tarts on trial basis but my family found it so yummy that they insisted me on making more.....vry easy n vry quick.....
