Text1Delightfully easy but very tasty pancakes. Serve these pancakes straight from the pan onto serving plates. Green chillies and jaggery give a new spicy sweet taste to this recipe. Add a little flour, if you find the pancake difficult to make.

Ingredients


1 cup plain flour (maida)
1/4 cup curds (dahi), beaten
1 tsp green chilli paste
1/4 cup grated jaggery (gur)
a pinch of salt

Other ingredients
oil for cooking

Method
  1. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl with 1½ cups of water and whisk well to make a thin batter.
  2. Heat a 150 mm. (6") diameter non-stick pan and grease it lightly with a little oil.
  3. Pour a ladleful of the batter on the pan and spread evenly to get a pancake of 2 mm. thickness.
  4. Spread a little oil from the sides and cook the pancake over a medium flame till evenly browned on one side.
  5. Repeat with the remaining batter to make 7 more pancakes.
  6. Serve immediately.
