Salads are ambrosia to health-conscious folks, as they offer variety in texture, flavour and colour without any worrisome ingredients! This Italian-Style Tossed Salad here is a healthy mix of assorted low-cal veggies, tossed with an exotic honey and basil dressing. The best part is that this heart-friendly fare can be put together in no time at all!

Preparation Time:     Makes 4 servings

Ingredients

2 cups iceberg lettuce , torn into small pieces
1/2 cup sliced and blanched mushrooms (khumbh)
1/2 cup blanched broccoli florets
1/2 cup boiled carrot cubes
1/4 cup onion cubes

To Be Mixed Into A Dressing
1 tsp honey
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tbsp chopped basil
salt and freshly ground black pepper (kalimirch) to taste

Method
  1. Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl and refrigerate till required.
  2. Toss the salad with the dressing and serve immediately.

Healthy, tasty and no fuss easy salad to make. The honey lemon juice dressing is perfect.
