1 cup green peas
1/4 cup roughly chopped spring onions with stalk
10 to 12 basil leaves
2 pinches of freshly ground black pepper (kalimirch) powder
1 tsp oil
1/4 tsp salt
  1. Heat the oil in a saucepan, add the spring onions and sauté till they turn translucent.
  2. Add the green peas and 4 cups water and cook till the peas are tender. Cool add the basil and blend in a blender till smooth.
  3. Pour into a saucepan, add the salt and pepper and bring to a boil. Serve hot.

Simple, high fibre soup... just loved it... do not miss out on the pepper powder as mentioned in the recipe as that''s the taste booster in this low salt recipe.
