Green Pea Bhel

Ingredients


2 1/4 cups steamed green peas
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
2 green chillies, chopped
1 tbsp oil
salt to taste

For serving
3/4 cup fresh yoghurt, beaten
1 tbsp chilli powder
2 tsp roasted cumin seed powder
2 tbsp sweet chutney
1 tbsp green chutney
1 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)
1 tbsp oil
salt to taste

Method
  1. For the peas, heat the oil and fry the cumin seeds until they crackle. Add the green chillies and fry for a few seconds.
  2. Add the green peas and salt.
  3. To serve, put the green peas on a big flat serving dish.
  4. Spread the yoghurt, sprinkle the chilli powder, cumin seed powder, sweet chutney, green chutney, coriander and salt. Serve immediately.

  2. Sprouted Moong Bhel. Use sprouted moong instead of green peas.
