Ghee Cake Suitable For People With Milk Allergy

This recipe is all because I have a daughter who is allergic to milk and cashewnuts but she can take ghee. she is the constant inspiration of my new recipes especially this one. she loves this cake. hope I too get get different dessert recipes from contributors who can make some dishes without any milk, cream, paneer, curds, butter, buttermilk, condensed milk.

Ingredients


1/2 cup ghee
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 cup orange juice
1 tsp lemon rind
pinch of baking powder
2-3 tbsp of thick coconut milk
slef raising flour ( i don't have exact measurement of this)
2-3 tbsp of minutely crushed almonds

Method

  1. Take ghee, sugar and water in a pan and heat it up for around 10 min on low heat. also add in the orange ring and crushed almonds.
  2. Let it cool down and then add the orange juice, coconut milk and mix well.
  3. Then add pinch of baking powder and self raising flour and mix well till it reaches the consistency of cake batter.
  4. Put it in a greased baking tray or in paper cups or muffin trays depending on the type to cake you want to serve.
