Fruit biscuit , semolina-ghee biscuit is a novel tempting biscuit recipe prepared from fruits, semolina(rawa or suji) mixed with ghee and baked to a crispy perfection. An ideal teatime snack or a dessert item.

Ingredients



Fruit Biscuit
250 gms plain flour (maida)
50 gms flavoured custard powder
1/3 tsp baking powder
150 gms ghee
150 gms sugar
1/4 tsp pineapple essence
100 gms cashewnuts (kaju), tutti-frutti

Semolina-Ghee biscuit
4 cups wheat (gehun)
1 1/2 cups semolina (rava) (blend dry)
1 1/2 cups icing sugar
1 cup powdered almonds (badam)
a pinch of salt
ghee (required till dough forms)

Method


    Fruit biscuit

    1. Beat sugar and ghee in to a nice paste (beat for15-20 minutes),
    2. Add pineapple essence, sieved maida, custard powder, baking power together
    3. Then mix it with the sugar and ghee paste,
    4. Add cashew pieces &truti fruti to the dough,
    5. Mix it well, add some milk if needed, and make a fine dough,
    6. Then cut it in to square shape,
    7. Keep the square in to the baking pan and rub little milk and decorate with cashew pieces,
    8. Bake it at 250 oc, till golden brown

    Semolina-ghee biscuit

    1. Mix in wheat,semolina,sugar,almond and a pinch of salt. mix well.
    2. Next,add in ghee and mix well till pliable dough forms.
    3. Make into small balls and place them on a greased tray.
    4. Bake for 5 to 10 minutes at 360 fahrenheit
