Tangy pineapple and juicy watermelon make a great combo! the success of this duo is further highlighted by a simple dressing of sour cream and basil. The sharp accents of basil work very well with the sour cream to create an aromatic and flavourful dressing for your favourite fruits. You could scoop out the watermelon into small balls, or even try using other fruits, to come up with your own improvisations to the fresh fruit salad with basil dressing.

1 1/2 cups pineapple (ananas) cubes
1 1/2 cups watermelon (tarbuj) cubes

For The Basil Dressing
1 cup sour cream
8 to 10 fresh basil leaves
1/2 tsp sugar
salt to taste

For the basil dressing

  1. Blend the sour cream with the basil leaves, sugar and salt in a blender.
  2. If you don't get basil leaves, take 2 tablespoons of capsicum pieces, put in boiling water for a few minutes and then blend with sour cream in a blender.

How to proceed

  1. Combine the fruits in a deep bowl, mix well land refrigerate for 1 hour.
  2. Before serving, pour the prepared dressing over it and mix well.
  3. Serve chilled.
