The use of fibre-rich flax seeds and calcium and protein-rich soya milk lends a healthy angle to the flax seed smoothie. At the same time, the lemon juice plays an indispensable role in enhancing the flavours of the scrumptious fruits used in this smoothie.

Preparation Time: 
Makes 2 big glasses

Ingredients

2 tbsp flax seeds
1 cup vanilla flavoured soya milk
a few drops of lemon juice
1 cup chilled and roughly chopped strawberries
1/2 cup chilled and roughly chopped bananas
6 tsp sugar

For The Garnish
4 strawberries and 4 bananas slices , threaded on 2 skewers

Method
  1. Combine the soya milk, lemon juice, strawberries, bananas, flax seeds and sugar and blend in a juicer till the mixture is smooth and frothy.
  2. Pour equal quantities of the smoothie into 2 individual glasses.
  3. Serve immediately garnished with a strawberry and banana skewer in each
  4. Glass.

Tried out yesterday evening and turned out nice but I garnished with strawberry wafer biscuits
