Navraatri, which literally translates to ‘nine nights’, is a time for music, masti and lots of dancing. Even as family and friends come together for the festivities, one does not forget that it is also a time for prayers and fasting.
During the nine days of Navratri, feasting and fasting take precedence over all normal daily activities amongst most of us.
Many people fast for just a day or two others fast for nine days. Some strictly adhere to a fruit diet, while others abstain from salt, whereas some love to take the special faraal treats all day long.
Whatever you do, take care not to overdo it. Be attentive to what and how you eat and how it affects your health.
Here are some recipes for all you people fasting this season.
Regards,
