A popular holiday salad that is enjoyed across the world, this includes the freshest fruit available in season. It is called the eve’s salad for its vibrant colors and fresh, summery taste! this recipe uses apples, black grapes, pineapples and oranges. You could incorporate other fruits too. The sour cream dressing pairs extremely well with the cut fruits-tangy and creamy and delicious. Serve this one chilled garnished with walnut and celery. Sprinkle salt and fresh pepper just before serving. Yummmm!

Preparation Time: 
Makes 6 servings


Ingredients


For The Sour Cream Dressing (makes 3/4 Cup)
3/4 cup fresh cream
2 tbsp lemon juice
salt and freshly ground black pepper powder to taste

Other Ingredients
1 1/2 cups apple cubes
1/2 cup black grapes
1 cup pineapple cubes
1 tsp lemon juice
1/2 cup thinly sliced orange segments
(with the skin on)

For The Garnish
2 tbsp chopped walnuts (akhrot)
1 tbsp chopped celery (ajmoda)

Method
For the sour cream dressing

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl, mix well and keep aside.

How to proceed

  1. Combine the apple and lemon juice in a bowl and toss well.
  2. Add all the remaining ingredients and mix well.
  3. Add the dressing, toss well and refrigerate for at least an hour.
  4. Serve chilled garnished with walnuts and celery.
