Eggless Molten Lava Cake

With its gooey, chocolatey, molten center, this famous cake is prepared within 5 minutes in a microwave. The burst of chocolate lava from the middle of the cake can melt any chocolate lover's heart!

Ingredients

1 tbsp plain flour (maida)
1 tbsp powdered sugar
1 1/2 tsp cocoa powder
4 tbsp milk
a pinch salt
a pinch baking soda
a pinch baking powder
2 tsp melted butter
a chunk of cooking chocolate

Method
  1. Combine the flour, sugar and cocoa powder and sieve well.
  2. Add the salt, baking soda and baking powder and mix well.
  3. Add the butter and mix well.
  4. Add the milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, and mix well to get a smooth batter.
  5. Pour half of it into a microwave safe bowl and push the chunk of chocolate right into the center of the batter.
  6. Top it with the remaining batter, taking care that the chocolate doesn’t protrude out of the batter.
  7. Microwave on high for 2 minutes.
  8. Serve immediately with vanilla ice cream

all the butter came out as they bubbled over in the microwave, maybe try the oven

Tarla Dalal    The butter used in this recipe is melted butter not soft butter or frozen, make sure it is melted and do try the recipe again. And do let us know your feedback.

gooey yummy chocolate molten cake.. easy steps to follow, made very quick. I made in small glasses for my guest. they enjoyed it.

This batter becomes liquid and the chocolate chunks floats in it.. The batter gets mixed up. Should I decrease the quantity of milk.

This is very very simple! I tried it. though I used diary milk & not cooking chocolate, the center was very chocolaty. thanks so much for sharing such a quick and delightful cake
