Method
  1. Sieve the plain flour and cocoa powder. Keep aside.
  2. Combine the curds and soda bi-carb in a bowl and keep aside.
  3. Combine the butter, sugar and ¼ cup of hot water in another bowl and whisk well till the sugar dissolves.
  4. Add the plain flour-cocoa mixture, curds and vanilla essence and mix to make a smooth batter with help of a spatula.
  5. Put the batter in a 175 mm. (7”) diameter greased and dusted baking tin.
  6. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 160°c (320°f)for 60 minutes or until a knife inserted in the cake comes out clean.
  7. Remove from the oven, keep aside to cool, demould and use as required.

The cake recipe was really easy. Thanks Tarlaji. The batter was smooth and nice and I have now put it in the oven, waiting for it to bake. I am sure it will come out nice and hot and will taste good as well. Thanks again ??

This cake is really really Delicious and superb in taste and texture. I make this often and serve it with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. Elders and kids all eat it up within minutes.

I love to cook baking items especially cakes and biscuits.I have tried cakes for so many times but there was always one or the other problem.But now when i tried this recipe of tarlaji for a birthday party, my cake was a superhit,also as it includes curd it can be made easily.All my family members and guests liked it and appreciated me for such a delicious cake. Thanks once again.
