I have received warm letter, concerned e-mails and frantic phone calls on our helpline saying, “My father is a diabetic and he loves sweets, what sugarless mithai can I make for him?”. Such queries set me thinking and I began modifying as well as creating some interesting recipes that are good for diabetics to eat and most importantly ones that do not look like ‘patient food’. Diabetes is a condition that is characterized by high blood sugar (glucose) in our body. Although there are a lot of "don't eat this" and "be sure to watch out for that,” there are some simple ways to tackle this disorder like eating low fat, sugarfree diet along with exercise and proper medication (either oral medication or insulin). Besides all this include fibre rich foods (whole grains, soyabean, flax seeds, fruits, vegetables), methi seeds, garlic in your daily as thee foods help to control the blood sugar levels.
To tempt
your palate and to add more flavour
to your daily diet without adding unnecessary
calories here are few delicious diabetic
recipes specially for all you food lovers…..
