A thick crust pizza cooked in a deep pie dish with lots of toppings.

Ingredients


1/2 recipe Basic Pizza Base
1/2 recipe Tomato Sauce
butter or oil for greasing

To be combined into a topping
8 fresh mushrooms (khumbh), blanched and sliced
8 black olives, sliced
1/2 cup red capsicum, cubed
1/4 cup boiled sweet corn kernels
2 to 3 sliced jalapeno peppers
1/2 tomato, cubed
1 small onion, sliced
1 tbsp sliced celery
1/4 tsp dried mixed herbs or dried oregano
salt to taste

For baking
1/2 cup cooking cheese or mozzarella cheese
1 tbsp olive oil or oil

Method
  1. Roll out the pizza dough into a circle of 200 mm. (8") diameter and 8 mm. (1/3") thickness. Line a 150 mm. (6") greased pie dish with it..
  2. Spread the tomato sauce over the base and fill with the topping.
  3. Top with the cheese and finally drizzle the olive oil over it.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (360°F) for about 20 minutes or until the base is evenly browned.
  5. Serve hot.
