A traditional south indian snack recipe, dates appam are prepared from dates which are mixed with mashed banana, rice powder, jaggery water, sesame seeds and then deep fried till crispy golden.

Method
  1. Mash the bananas and add the plain flour and rice flour along with jaggery water and mix well.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients, mix well and keep aside for 20 minutes.
  3. Heat the oil in a kadhai, shape the mixture into small balls and deep fry till they turn golden brown and crisp.
  4. Serve hot.
