Ingredients


2 cups spinach (palak) , finely chopped
1 slit green chilli , finely chopped
2 tbsp besan (bengal gram flour)
2 tsp whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
2 tsp curds (dahi) (optional)
a pinch of asafoetida (hing)
1 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp oil
salt to taste

To Serve
green chutney

Method
  1. Mix all the ingredients, using curds if the mixture is too dry for shaping.
  2. Divide the mixture into 18 equal portions and place on a large greased microwave safe plate. Cover with a damp muslin cloth and microwave on high for 2 minutes.
  3. Keep aside for 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Lift gently using a flat knife and place onto a serving plate.
  5. Serve with green chutney.
