Makes 1 1/2 teacups.

Ingredients


1 egg
5 tbsp sugar (approx.)
1 cup milk
a few drops of vanilla essence

Method
  1. Beat the egg and sugar together.
  2. Pour in the milk.
  3. Cook in double boiler or in a basin over hot water. Cook very gently until the mixture just coats the back of a wooden spoon.
  4. Cool and add the vanilla essence.

Tips
  1. Note : Increase the quantity of custard powder to obtain thick sauce.
