Corn and Peas in Creamy Sauce

Tasty but not spicy. Cooked in cream and tomato sauce.

Ingredients


1 packet frozen corn (makai ke dane) or 1 1/2 cups cooked corn (makai ke dane)
1 1/2 cups boiled green peas
2 boiled potatoes
2 carrots, boiled
3 onions, sliced
3/4 cup fresh cream
1 1/2 cups milk
3 tbsp plain flour (maida)
1/2 cup tomato ketchup
1/2 tsp chilli powder
2 tbsp butter
salt to taste

Method
  1. Open the packet of corn and thaw in a colander.
  2. Cut the potatoes and carrots into cubes.
  3. Mix the cream, milk, flour and tomato ketchup.
  4. Heat the butter and fry the onions until pale in colour.
  5. Add the corn, green peas, potatoes, carrots, the prepared sauce, chilli powder and salt and cook on a slow flame for 10 minutes. If the sauce becomes too thick, add a little milk or water.
