Ravioli is an Italian dish and is a type of filled pasta composed of a filling sealed between two layers of thin pasta dough. This dish can be served as a starter along with tomato ketchup and mustard sauce

8-10 wonton wrapper

For Filling
1 cup blanched spinach (palak)
1/2 cup boiled and grated sweet corn kernels (makai ke dane)
1/2 cup grated processed cheese
2-3 finely chopped green chillies
1 tbsp oil
salt to taste

For Frying
1 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp dried mixed herbs

For filling

  1. Mash blanced spinach in a bowl
  2. Combine spinach and sweetcorn in a bowl.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add chopped green chillies and spinach-corn mixture and sauté on a medium flame for 5 minutes. Allow it to cool.
  4. Add cheese and salt.

For ravioli

  1. Place a tablespoon of corn spinach mixture in the center of the wonton wrapper
  2. Use water to wet the sides of wonton wrapper, seal the wrapper folding it diagonally
  3. Press the edges of wrapper tightly
  4. Boil water in a pan
  5. Add some salt to it
  6. After the water is boiled add the stuffed wonton wrappers into the water.
  7. Boil them for 5-6 minutes

For frying

  1. In another deep pan, add the butter allow it to melt for few minutes.
  2. Add mix herbs and steamed ravioli.
  3. Serve hot with tomato ketchup and mustard sauce.
