Ingredients



For the corn filling
1 can (450 grams) cream style corn
2 onions, chopped
1 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
3 chopped green chillies
1 tbsp lemon juice
3 tbsp oil
salt to taste

For the spinach filling
3 cups chopped spinach (palak)
1 chopped onion
2 green chillies, chopped
a pinch soda bi carb
1 1/2 cups milk
1 tbsp plain flour (maida)
1 tbsp butter
salt to taste

Other ingredients
3 dozen cream cracker biscuits
4 tbsp cooking cheese
tabasco sauce

Method

    For the corn filling

    1. Heat the oil, add the onions and cook for 1 minute.
    2. Add the corn, coriander, chillies, lemon juice and salt and cook for 2 minutes.

    For the spinach filling

    1. Heat the butter and fry the onion for 1/2 minute. Add the green chillies and fry again for a few seconds.
    2. Add the spinach and soda-bi-carb and cook for 2 minutes. Drain.
    3. Mix the milk with the flour, add to the mixture and cook until mixture becomes thick. Add salt.

    How to proceed

    1. Spread a little corn filling and some spinach mixture on each cream cracker. Top with a little cheese and dot with Tabasco sauce.
    2. Grill in a hot oven at 200 degree C (400 degree F) for a few minutes.
    3. Serve hot.
