Makes 8 rotis.


Ingredients



For the dough
1 cup whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
2 tsp oil
oil for cooking
salt to taste

For the stuffing
1 cup cooked corn (makai)
1 capsicum, finely chopped
1 tomato, finely chopped
1 onion, finely chopped
1/2 tsp finely chopped green chilli
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1 tbsp oil
salt and black pepper (kalimirch) powder to taste

For the spread
pizza topping

Method
  1. For the dough, mix all the ingredients and add enough water to make a soft dough.
  2. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into 8 small rounds of 125 mm. to 150 mm. diameter.
  3. Cook rotis on a non-stick tawa (griddle) using a little oil.
  4. For the stuffing, heat the oil and fry the onion for 1 minute. Add the green chilli and fry again for 1 minute.
  5. Add the corn, capsicum, tomato and chilli powder and fry again for 2 to 3 minutes.
  6. Add salt and pepper.
  7. To serve, spread the pizza sauce on each roti. Put some stuffing on top and roll into cigar shapes. Serve immediately.
