A rare combination of coriander and fresh green garlic makes the Coriander Green Garlic Chutney flavourful, colourful and healthy! Green garlic, though seasonal, is definitely a worthy addition to this chutney as it multiplies the health benefits of garlic. Make this low-calorie chutney a little in advance and refrigerate, for a refreshing touch.

Preparation Time:     Makes 1 cup

1 cup finely chopped coriander (dhania)
1/2 cup chopped fresh green garlic (hara lehsun) , (including the greens)
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tbsp roasted chana dal (daria)
salt to taste

  1. Combine all the ingredients along with ½ cup of water and blend in a mixer to a smooth paste.
  2. Transfer it into a bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  3. Use as required.

When fresh garlic is season, I always make its chutney. The proportion of ingredients are different than what I usually make, but this too turns to be tasty.
