To overcome the blazing summer heat some cool drinks are ideal to revive yourself. They help a lot to rejuvenate your body, mind and soul. It also gives a sensation of relaxation to your body to be calm and compose.
This week I am sending you some sorbet recipes which are not drinks but equally cooling frozen desserts.
Sorbet is almost like an ice cream minus the milk. Well, it is a dessert based on fresh fruit puree along with other ingredients which have been churned and whipped up in the same manner as an ice cream is done and frozen.
Initially sorbets were served between the starter course and main course in order to cleanse the palate. But now they are more popular as desserts and are a perfect dessert for someone watching their diets.
Many sorbets served at food joints have some amount of alcohol in them but the virgin versions are served too.
The sorbet can be converted into a gola by pressing it on a stick. So now atleast you don’t have to worry about the synthetic flavours and contaminated water which goes into the roadside gola you love.
