Coconut milk cooked with cornflour and spices to form a mildly spiced thick sauce. Serve with idlis.

Ingredients

1 cup coconut milk
2 tsp cornflour
1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
2 curry leaves (kadi patta)
2 tsp green chilli paste
1 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp sugar
1 tbsp oil
salt to taste

Method
  1. Heat the oil in a saucepan.
  2. Add the cumin seeds, curry leaves and green chilli paste and stir for 1 minute.
  3. Add the coconut milk and cornflour and bring to a boil.
  4. Add the lemon juice, sugar and salt and mix well.
  5. Remove from the fire and serve hot.
