This is that time of the year when festivities are in full swing. Socializing is at its peak , for all age groups be it teenagers, adults and the young at heart like me. I feel good to see everyone dressed up and ready to have a nice time. Singing, dancing, eating and of course, drinking.....

The trend now is not to gulp down shots of liquor on by one but rather relish it and enhance their flavours by mixing with certain other liquids. Basically Cocktails are the flavour of the month for social gatherings. There are a hundred colourful theories about how the word cocktail came into being. Whatever the origins of the name, cocktails have come to mean mixed drinks, usually based on spirits but not necessarily so.

Cocktails are popular all over the world, with newer and more exotic combinations emerging everyday. Cocktail names too have always been most startling and amusing.
